ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated UC Santa Cruz 4-0 on Saturday afternoon to improve to 6-0 on the year.

Olivia Clemons scored the first goal of the game and her fourth of the season in the 22
nd minute, putting in a pass from junior
Emily Fox for the 1-0 lead.
Out of the halftime break, senior
Julia Moore curled in a ball in the 56
th minute for her sixth goal of the season, extending WashU's lead to 2-0.

Madi Foley made it a 3-0 game in the 72
nd minute, putting in a long ball from the corner and first-year
Muriel Gamble scored her first-career goal as a Bear in the 75
th minute, scoring on a ball from graduate student
Ana DiMaria.
WashU registered 25 shots with nine on goal and held the Banana Slugs to just one shot all game. The Bears also had five corner kicks and Santa Cruz did not have one.
Junior
Cami Colpitts had seven shots with four on goal while Foley had four shots with one on frame.
Senior
Charlotte Shapiro and junior
Kassidy Lanthier split time in goal to earn the shutout.
The Bears are home again tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of Rhodes and DePauw.
