No. 3 WashU Women's Tennis Sees Two Doubles Teams, No. 5 Hanna Advance to Day Two of NCAA Individual Championships

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team saw two doubles teams and one singles player advance to the second day of the NCAA Division III Individual Championships.
 
Singles
In her first match of the day, No. 5 senior Eliana Hanna beat Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' No. 6 Ananya Sriniketh 6-7 (0-7), 6-3, 6-3. She defeated No. 49 CWRU's Hannah Kassaie in a walkover. Hanna will face Johns' Hopkins' No. 43 Lia Melvin tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET in the quarterfinal.
 
In her first match of the day, No. 19 junior Eleanor Archer defeated Sewanee's Mariella Congeni 7-5, 6-4 in the Round of 32. She fell to Middlebury's No. 7 Elsie Van Wieren 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 16.

Both Hanna and Archer earn All-America honors.
 
Doubles
No. 10 Hanna and sophomore Ally Lin defeated Bethel's Lauryn Douglas and Michaella Sulliva 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. The duo will take on Johns' Hopkins No. 5 Kamila Wong and Ava Li tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET in the quarterfinals.
 
No. 1 Archer and sophomore Caitlin Bui defeated No. 9 Eleni Lazaridou and Hana Nouaime 6-2, 6-2. The pair will face Emory's No. 8 Izabele Antanavicius tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET in the quarterfinals.

 Both teams have now earned All-America status.
