ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Due to a construction project that will improve equity for varsity locker room spaces, there will be an upcoming extended closure of the recreation locker rooms, beginning on Friday, May 8 and expected to be closed through Friday, August 14.
 
Both recreation locker rooms will be closed:
Friday, May 8, at facility close (8 p.m.) through Friday, August 14
During this time:

• Long-term locker storage will not be available.
• Day-use lockers will be available in the following Sumers Recreation Center areas:
  • Cardio Area
  • 3-court gym
  • Indoor track
• Swimmers may also use the pool benches or spectator bleachers to keep belongings nearby while swimming.

Shower and Pool Access
Friday, May 8

• The recreation locker rooms will close at 8 p.m. for all users.

Saturday, May 9 – Sunday, May 17

• The pool will remain open except during our facility-wide closure for Commencement.
• Swimmers will access the pool through the Level 1 hallway.
• Showers and restrooms will be available from the pool deck only during Millstone Pool hours.

Monday, May 18 – Friday, August 14

• The pool will remain open, and we will let you know if any short-term closures become necessary.
• Swimmers will access the pool through the Athletic Complex Level 2 back stairwell near the pool overlook. Clear signage will be posted to help guide you.
• Showers and restrooms will be available from the pool deck only during Millstone Pool hours.

Important Notes

• Showers will be available only during Millstone Pool hours and will remain open for 30 minutes after the pool closes.
• For a few days this summer, we may need to use a smaller nearby shower and changing area if water service must be turned off in the recreation locker rooms. If that happens, we'll share an update in advance through our usual communication channels.
