No. 2 WashU Women's Tennis Falls to No. 4 Chicago

Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team fell to No. 4 Chicago 4-3 at home on Saturday. The Bears are now 13-2 on the season.
 
Doubles
Chicago won No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point and the early 1-0 lead.
 
No. 11 senior Eliana Hanna and sophomore Ally Lin beat Anika Paul and Charlotte Klein 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
 
No. 7 junior Eleanor Archer and sophomore Caitlin Bui fell to No. 25 Lauren Khou and Oliwia Mikos 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
 
No. 18 sophomore Sam Slowik and first-year Lily Brecknock fell to Lily Zawaneh and Tina Kintiroglou 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
 
Singles
No. 17 Archer defeated Clara Zou 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
 
Lin beat Kintiroglou 6-3, 6-1 and Senior Amber Edmonds defeated Isabelle Chong 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5 singles.
 
No. 8 Hanna fell to No. 7 Sarena Biria 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
 
Bui lost to No. 25 Paul 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and sophomore Nina Moravek lost to Brooke Pedersen 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
 
The Bears are home again tomorrow at 10 a.m. against Grinnell. Prior to the match, WashU will honors it seniors – Teleya Blunt, Amber Edmonds, Eliana Hanna, Hallie Jeffers and Nina Moravek.
