No. 1 Women's Tennis Sweeps No. 16 Kenyon, DePauw

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team picked up two wins on the road on Sunday, beating No. 16 Kenyon 7-0 before defeating DePauw 7-0. The Bears are now 3-0 on the year.

Doubles
The Bears earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
 
No. 11 senior Eliana Hanna and sophomore Ally Lin defeated Shadia Amado Aguad and Kiara Komlodi 7-5 at No. 2 while first-year Lily Brecknock and sophomore Sam Slowik beat Maya Stolarsky and Clare Hudson 6-1 at No. 3.
 
No. 7 sophomore Caitlin Bui and junior Eleanor Archer fell to Eleni Lazaridou and Hana Nouaime 5-7 at No. 1 doubles.

Singles 
No. 8 Hanna beat No. 41 Lazaridou 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 1 singles while No. 17 Archer defeated No. 22 Komlodi 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
 
Bui defeated Nouiaime 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Lin beat Amado Aguad 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
 
Brecknock defeated Hudson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and senior Nina Moravek beat Stolarsky 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
 
Match 2: #1 WashU 7, DePauw 0
Doubles
The Bears swept doubles to go up 1-0 on the Tigers. Hanna and Lin defeated Valerie Doherty and Briah O'Neal 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.
 
Slowik and Brecknock beat Katie King and Elle Loch 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
 
Seniors Teleya Blunt and Amber Edmonds topped Ayden Zinkovich and Allie Stamm 6-1.
 
Singles
Archer beat King 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Lin defeated Loc 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
 
Brecknock topped Doherty 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Moravek beat O'Neal 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
 
Edmonds topped Stamm 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and junior Emily Chiasson beat Abby Short 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
 
The Bears are home again (at Forest Lake Tennis Club) on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. against UW-Whitewater.
