CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 10 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team sits in fourth after the second day of the UAA Championships with 428 points.
Top Finishers
- 1-Meter Diving
- Junior Shanze Karimi claimed third with a score of 457.70
- Sophomore Kate Li reached the podium with an eighth-place finish, scoring 344.05
- 200 Freestyle Relay
- 500 Freestyle
- Senior Ali Roche tied for sixth with a time of 4:58.25, hitting a NCAA B cut
- First-year Sarah Cohen finished second in the B final and 10th overall in 4:58.06, hitting an NCAA B cut
- 200 IM
- Junior Rachel Bello finished fifth, swimming a time of 2:05.93
- 50 Freestyle
- Olasewere finished 15th overall with a time of 23.91
- 400 Medley Relay
- Roche, Lee, Watson and Qi took fourth with a time of 3:46.74, hitting an NCAA B cut
Action continues tomorrow with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals and 6 p.m. for the following events: 100 butterfly, 400 IM, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke and 200 medley relay.
