Swimming and Diving Teams, 14 Individuals Earn CSCAA Scholar-All America Honors

RICHMOND, Va. - The Washington University in St. Louis swimming and diving programs were selected to the Scholar All-America Team, presented by Fitter and Faster Swim Camps, for the spring 2026 semester, the organization recently announced.
 
In total, 714 teams from 418 institutions were selected, representing 16,680 student-athletes across all collegiate divisions. To be recognized, teams must have achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
 
The women's team finished the spring semester with a 3.79 GPA while the men's team had a 3.72. The women's GPA tied for 5th among Division III teams while the men's ranked 14th.
 
Additionally, eight men and six women were named to the 2026 Individual Scholar All-America team. More than 2,230 swimmers and divers earned the distinction.
 
To be named to the First-Team Scholar All-America team, student-athletes must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national championship. Second-Team selections must also earn a minimum GPA of 3.50 and met the "B" time standard for the national championship or participated in a diving zone qualification meet.
 
On the men's side, all selections were on the first team: Marco Minai, Ethan Feng, Gavin Coggan and Jackson Heether. Second team selections include: Matt Giardinelli, Ben Scott, Brody Schrepfer and Matthew Walker.
 
On the women's side, first team selections include: Rachel Bello, Shanze Karimi, Sarah Cohen, Hannah Lee, Iris Qi and Ali Roche.
 
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
