AUSTIN, Texas – Washington University in St. Louis football junior
Brady Cavan has earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Cavan is the 234
th Academic All-American in WashU history, the 20
th for the football program and the first for football since 2021.
The Glen Ellyn, Ill. native is a biomedical engineering major who holds a 3.89 grade-point average (GPA).
On the field, Cavan was named D3football.com Second Team All-Region 5 and earned a spot on the All-CCIW First Team Offense.
Cavan played all 11 games for WashU on the O-Line and was part of the offense that scored 356 points for a 32.36 points per game average, scoring 49 touchdowns. As a team, the Bears tallied 4,100 yards of total offense with 1,987 passing yards and 2,113 rushing yards.
