Four RV Baseball Team Members Named All-Association

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – As the RV Washington University in St. Louis baseball team awaits its fate on Monday, four members of the Bears' squad have been selected to the 2025 All-University Athletic Association (UAA) teams, as announced by the league on Thursday morning.

Graduate student Noah Reichman, seniors Brandon Buday and Hank Weiss, along with junior Isaac Zhang, each earned a spot on the All-UAA teams.

Buday, a First Team selection in the outfield, finished the regular season with his highest batting average in his career (.399). He started all 33 games he appeared in during the season. He finished with 55 hits, including nine doubles, six triples, and a pair of home runs. He also tallied 41 runs scored and 23 RBIs. He walked 10 times and was hit by a pitch twice. In the field, he collected 66 putouts while committing zero errors for a 1.000 fielding percentage. On April 18, he went a perfect 5-for-5 while hitting for the cycle.

Reichman, a graduate student who was named to the First Team in the infield, played and started all but one game for the Bears this season. Throughout his 39 games played, he finished with a .403 batting average. He also managed to tally 52 hits, including 14 doubles and eight home runs. He finished the regular season with 40 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He walked 23 times and was hit by a pitch 15 times. He also had a .698 slugging percentage. Out of his 263 putouts and 10 assists, he committed just two errors for a .993 fielding percentage.

Zhang, one of two pitchers to be named First Team, finished the regular season with 11 appearances on the mound, including six starts. He finished the regular season with a 3-1 record along with one save and a 1.82 ERA in 39.2 innings pitched. Opposing batters had only a .190 average against him while he struck out 27 batters. He was named the UAA Pitcher of the Week on April 21.

Weiss, one of two true pitchers who earned a spot on the Second Team, also finished the regular season with 11 appearances. He went 3-2 on the mound in 49 innings pitched while holding opposing batters to a .205 average. He concluded his games thus far with a 1.84 ERA. He also led the Bears for the second year in a row with 71 strikeouts. Of the 218 batters he faced, he gave up only three extra-base hits (three doubles).

WashU (25-15) waits to see if they have earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament when the field is announced on Monday, May 12 at 11 a.m. CT.
