INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After a long, tough regular-season four members of the No. 25 Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team have been selected to participate in the 2025 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, as announced by the NCAA earlier today.

Seniors Stefan Hester and Pato Garcia Muriel will team up as the Bears' representative in the Doubles Championship. Juniors Colin Scruggs and Eric Kuo have earned their spots in the Singles Championship bracket.

Hester and Garcia Muriel teamed up and played 19 of the team's 20 dual matches at the top doubles spot and finished with a 14-5 record. They finished the regular season with several ranked wins, including a win over the No. 2 team at the time from Denison, 6-1. Four of their five losses came to teams ranked in the top 10.

Scruggs played the majority of the season at the top singles spot for WashU and finished with an 11-6 record in dual matches. After reaching the quarterfinals of the Central Regional in the fall, he began the spring with the No. 33 individual ranking in Div. III. He has since moved up and is currently No. 15 in the country.

Kuo stepped up into the number two singles spot this year and was a staple for the Bears in their duals. Of the 15 matches that he started, he finished with a 12-1 record and had at one point a 10-match winning streak at the spot. He also picked up two wins at the top singles spot, including a win over the number one from Creighton.
 
Both the singles and doubles tournaments will take place May 23-26, 2025 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif.
