CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The senior pair of Stefan Hester and Pato Garcia Muriel are fresh off of not only being named All-American, but on Saturday, they defeated the top-ranked team of Ethan Green and Kael Shah of Denison, 3-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4, to advance to the 2025 NCAA Div. III Doubles Semifinals on Sunday.

This was not the first time that the Bears had taken down the duo from Denison. Back on March 29, in a team dual match, Hester and Garcia Muriel made quick work of the Big Red team with a 6-1 win.

In the semifinals, WashU will face off their second-straight, top-five opponents in Javier Gonazalez and Vuk Vuksanovic of Tufts. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. CT at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont.
