Archer and Bui doubles NCAA high five

No. 4 Archer and Bui Advance to NCAA Doubles Quarterfinal

Box Score CLAREMONT, Calif. – Coming off a historic evening for the Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis program where the Bears won their first-ever National Championship, two Bears continued competition in the NCAA Division III Individual Championships.
 
Sophomore Eleanor Archer and first-year Caitlin Bui were each selected to compete in singles and also as a pair in doubles.
 
Doubles
The No. 4-ranked duo of Archer and Bui defeated Wesleyan's No. 6 Lane Durkin and Sarah Youngberg 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) in the opening round of doubles competition.
 
The pair will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' No. 16 Alisha Chulani and Rebecca Kong tomorrow in the doubles quarterfinal.
 
Singles
Both players concluded their singles season in the first round of competition.
 
Archer fell to No. 2 Jacqueline Soloveychik of Wesleyan 6-1, 6-1.
 
Bui lost to Babson's No. 3 Olivia Soffer 6-1, 6-2.
