GENEVA, Ohio – Several events took place for the No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's outdoor track and field team on Friday as action continued at the 2025 NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
In the high jump, graduate
Ebun Opata secured five team points for the Bears with a third-place finish with a clearance of 1.68m.
Not long after, junior
Jenae Bothe claimed another five points for WashU in the shot put with her fourth-place finish. She secured the points on her third throw of 14.43.
Junior
Kylie Spytek narrowly missed out on advancing to the finals in the 400m with a 12th-place finish in 55.85.
Classmate
Jasmine Wright was the next Bear to compete in her event, the 100m dash, and she qualified for Saturday's final in fifth place with a time of 11.81.
Senior
Izzy Gorton was the next WashU runner to advance to Saturday with her fourth-place finish in the prelims of the 800m. She finished with a time of 2:09.60.
Saturday's field events get underway at 11 a.m. ET with the first event for WashU being the men's pole vault. The first event for the women will be the 4x100m relay, which is scheduled to begin at 12:15 p.m. ET.
