No. 1 Women's Track and Field Wins Multiple Events at ISU Senior Spotlight Invite

NORMAL, Ill. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's outdoor track and field team was back competing after winning the 2025 UAA Outdoor title last weekend. The Bears traveled to Div. I Illinois State for the ISU Senior Spotlight on Friday.

- The team of senior Nicole Stewart, first-year Leah Phelps, first-year Quinn Bird, and sophomore Maya Davis finished third with a time of 47.52

- First-year Mackenzie Raue finished third with a time of 4:44.73

- Bird claimed the top finish in the event with a time of 57.11
100m
- Junior Kylie Spytek finished third with a personal best time of 12.41
800m
- The Bears took the top four spots with sophomore Caroline Echols claiming the win with a time of 2:11.37
- Sophomore Cate Christopher was second with a time of 2:11.55, first-year Lauren Raley was third with a time of 2:12.37
- Junior Cate Stevens rounded out the group in fourth with a time of 2:13.54
400m Hurdles
- Senior Ruby Kaplan won with a time of 1:03.45 with a new personal best
- Junior Elizabeth Wagner also had a personal best, finishing third with a time of 1:07.11
200m
- Stewart finished in sixth place with a time of 24.81 while Spytek was right behind her in seventh place in a time of 25.07
4x400m
- Spytek, Echols, Raley, and Bird were the fastest team with a time of 3:49.00
Long Jump
- Graduate Ebun Opata was runner-up with a distance of 5.69m
High Jump
- Opata was second in her second event with a height of 1.68m
Pole Vault
- Senior Yasmin Ruff continued her event streak with the top clear of 4.03m to win the event
