ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 10 Washington University in St. Louis softball team earned the UAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the conference title and were selected to host an NCAA Regional, which begins on Thursday.

About the No. 10 Bears – Schedule | Roster | Stats
WashU clinched its first UAA title since 2017 last weekend, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Bears needed to win just one game to earn the conference crown as it headed into last weekend's series against Emory and ended up sweeping the Eagles to finish conference play 17-1. WashU has an overall record of 32-5.

On Tuesday, seven players earned All-UAA honors:
Maggie Baumstark (first team, outfield),
Maria Brooks (first team, pitcher),
Taylor Geluck (first team, infield),
Natalia Pilpil (first team, infield),
Erin Reardon (first team, outfield),
Jamie Burgasser (second team, pitcher), and
Jordan Rossi (second team, pitcher). Additionally, the Bears coaching staff of Head Coach
Casey Cromwell and assistant coaches Melissa "Skeeter" Gentile,
Natasha Ramakrishnan and
Cora Bassett earned UAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors.

Statistically, Reardon, a senior, leads the Bears with a .464 batting average. She's recorded 45 hits including six doubles, two triples and two homeruns as well as 13 RBI and 26 runs scored. Geluck, also a senior, has a .417 batting average and a team-high 48 hits on the year, including 11 doubles and four homeruns as well as 19 RBI and 25 runs scored. In the circle, Brooks, a sophomore, leads the Bears with a 1.55 ERA and has a 9-2 record. Burgasser, a senior, has a 1.56 ERA and a team-high 13 wins with just one loss.

Scouting No. 11 Redlands – Schedule | Roster | Stats
The Bulldogs enter the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 34-9 and finished the SCIAC schedule at 18-3. After falling to Chapman 5-7 in the SCIAC Tournament, Redlands earned an at-large bid to the dance.

Paige Messenlehner earned SCIAC Athlete of the Year honors as well as a first-team nod. Leila Jackson, Jenay Scott and Katlyn Gandara also earned first team honors while Brooklyn Bard, Paige Ellinger and Kassidy Long were named to the second team.

Scott leads the team with a .449 batting average and has recorded 35 hits on the year. Long has a .397 average with 31 hits including 12 doubles and 28 RBI. Messenlehner has a .385 average and has a team-high 57 hits including 11 doubles, four triples and four homeruns. Gandara has a team-low ERA of 1.98 and a record of 12-3 on the season, including 12 complete games and two shutouts in 99.0 innings of work.

The Bears faced Redlands on their spring break trip to California, splitting with the then-No. 9 Bulldogs, falling in the first game 2-4 before winning the second 7-4.

Scouting Wartburg – Schedule | Roster | Stats
The Knights enter the NCAA Tournament with a 24-15 record after going 11-5 in the American Rivers Conference. Wartburg earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after falling to Nebraska Wesleyan in the A-R-C semifinal.

Hannah Luellen headlined conference awards for Wartburg, earning Conference Pitcher of the Year honors and a first team nod. Also on the first team was Sydney Fellow while Carley Bredar was named to the second team and Bella Mulder earned an honorable mention.

Fellows led the team with a .433 batting average, recording a team-high 55 hits including eight doubles and eight homeruns. She has also scored 41 runs and recorded 26 RBI. Bredar has a .368 average with 35 hits including five doubles while Mulder has a .354 with 35 hits including 10 doubles. Luellen leads the pitchers with a 3.08 ERA, making 29 appearances with 22 starts. She has a record of 13-7 with nine complete games.

Scouting Lake Forest – Schedule | Roster | Stats
The Foresters head into the NCAA Tournament with a 28-14-1 record after finishing 14-2 in the Midwest Conference (MWC). Lake Forest beat Grinnell to earn the MWC title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Emmie Nyen headlined the postseason awards for the Foresters, earning Position Player of the Year and a first team nod. Riley Stiles and Kyla Chevalier also earned a spot on the first team while Hannah Smith, Paige Ratliff, Cadence Dempsey and Kaia Mismash earned second team honors.

Nyen leads the Foresters with a .452 batting averaging with 56 hits on the season including nine doubles, three triples and five homeruns. Mismash has a .445 average with a team-high 65 hits on the year including two doubles and one triple. In the circle, Stiles has a 1.84 ERA with a record of 12-4 including nine complete games and three shutouts.

The 2025 NCAA DIII softball tournament saw its 64-team field revealedÂ
via a selection show on May 12 on NCAA.com. The 2025 tournament consists of two selection pools: automatic qualifiers from conference tournament titles and at-large berths. Matchups begin Thursday, May 15 with the regional round and continue through the finals, ending Wednesday, June 4 at Inspiration Field in Bloomington, Ill.
