JOLIET, Ill. – With late events, come late results as the No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's outdoor track and field team and the No. 19 WashU men's outdoor track and field team competed last Friday evening at the USF Fighting Chance Invite.
The Bears sent several competitors from the track side of the teams and came away with a number of time results:
Women's Top Results
- 800m
- First-year Lauren Raley had the fifth best-time with a mark of 2:12.53.
- 1500m
- Senior Virginia Pridgen had second best time of those who ran with a mark of 4:34.59
- 3000m Steeplechase
Men's Top Results
- 1500m
- 5000m
- Junior Conor Daly was third with a time of 14:30.55
- Senior Matthew Hornung was eighth with a time of 14:43.17
- First-year Sean Green finished 12th in a deep field with a time of 14:49.90
WashU will compete on both Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15, at the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier in Rock Island, Ill.
