ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 9 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team defeated No. 25 Kenyon, 4-0, in the Regional Final to earn a return trip to the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row. This is the seventh time in program history the Bears have reached the Elite 8.

The Bears will head to California for the Championships, hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and will take on Chicago on May 20 at a time to-be-determined.

Junior
Eliana Hanna and
Ally Lin picked up the first win at No. 3 doubles, defeating Ana Brand and Lalasa Nagireddy 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

Eleanor Archer and first-year
Caitlin Bui beat No. 21 Eleni Lazaridou and Hana Nouaime 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.

Amber Edmonds and first-year
Sam Slowik were trailing 5-6 at No. 2 doubles to Clare Hudson and Shadia Amado Aguad when the doubles point was decided.

Hanna secured the first singles point for WashU, beating Amado Aguad 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

Lin earned the next point, defeating Hudson 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

Bui sealed the deal for the Bears at No. 2 singles, beating Brand 6-2, 6-4.

Archer fell to Lazaridou 2-6 in the first set at No. 1 singles and was trailing 4-2 when the match concluded.

Edmonds beat Nouaime 7-5 in the first set at No. 5 singles and was winning 3-1 in the second set at the conclusion.

Nina Moravek beat Nagireddy 6-3 in the first set at No. 6 singles and was up 2-1 in the second set when Bui clinched the match.
