Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 15 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team swept No. 10 Trinity, 7-0, on Friday afternoon at Tao Tennis Center. The Bears are 10-6 on the season.
Doubles
The Bears won two of the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
First-year
Caitlin Bui and sophomore
Eleanor Archer defeated Trinity Levy and Rosabella Andrade 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
Junior
Eliana Hanna and first-year
Ally Lin defeated Ellie Hughes and Lauren Tin 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.
First-year
Sam Slowik and junior
Amber Edmonds fell to Olivia Kim and Ruth Hill 4-6 at No. 2 doubles.
Singles
Archer defeated Hill 6-7 (8), 6-4, 10-7 at No. 1 singles and Bui topped Kim 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Hanna beat Hughes 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Lin defeated Lucy Nabedrick 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
Edmonds beat Levy 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and junior
Nina Moravek topped Andrade 6-2, 2-6, 10-4 at No. 6 singles.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow against Grinnell at 2 p.m. Due to weather, the match that was originally scheduled to be played at Tao will now be played at the Hexburg Tennis Center at Principia College. Prior the match, the Bears will honor their seniors –
