No. 2 Women's Track & Field Wins Two Events on Day 2 of NCAA Qualifier at Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa – On the final weekend before the NCAA Championships, several members of the No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field team competed on day two of the NCAA Qualifier being hosted at Warburg on Saturday.
Top Finishers:
  • 1 Mile
    • Junior Jillian Heth was the top Bear in the event, finishing third with a time of 4:58.58
  • 400m
    • Sophomore Cate Christopher set a new meet record while winning the event in a time of 56.99. It was also a personal best
  • 800m
    • First-year Kalena Riemer and sophomore Caroline Echols finished 1-2 with times of 2:13.52 and 2:17.17, respectively.
    • Riemer's time was a PR
  • Pole Vault
    • Senior Yasmin Ruff once again won the event, this time with a meet record of 3.93m
    • Classmate Makenzie Stock finished in a tie for second place with a height of 3.47m
