ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team wrapped up their weekend action by hosting the 2025 WashU Invite on Saturday at Bushyhead Track and Francis Olympic Field.
Despite final results displaying event points and team scores, no scores were kept at the meet.
Top Results:
- Hammer Throw
- Senior Taylor Simpson finished eighth in a field of 25 with a throw of 42.57m
- Discus
- Junior Jenae Bothe finished in fourth place with a throw of 40.80m
- Junior Kally Mack also finished in the top 10 in 10th place with a throw of 34.59m
- Shot Put
- Bothe claimed her first event win of the spring with a throw of 13.87m
- Simpson and senior Catryn Cattoor went back to back in seventh and eighth place with throws of 11.68m and 11.41m, respectively.
- Long Jump
- Graduate Ebun Opata finished in fourth place with a leap of 5.66m
- Sophomore Olivia Theisen had the 10th best jump of 5.32m
- Triple Jump
- Opata went on to claim her first event win of the season with jump of 12.18m
- Pole Vault
- Picking up where she left off both indoor and outdoor, senior Yasmin Ruff won the pole vault with a height of 4.10m
- It is the top mark so far this spring in Div. III and set a new stadium record.
- It also marked the 10th best in Div. III history
- High Jump
- Opata competed in her third event of the day in the high jump and finished in third with a height of 1.66m
- Theisen was right behind her in fourth place with a height of 1.61m

- Wright finished in a tie for first place with a time of 11.78

- Gay claimed the win in the event wit a time of 24.33
- It is the fastest time in Div. III so far this spring
- First-year Quinn Bird was fourth with a time of 24.94 while Stewart rounded out the top five in a time of 25.07
- 4x400 Relay
WashU will next compete at the SIU Saluki Fast Start on Saturday, April 5 in Carbondale, Ill.
