BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Back to the normal all-day Saturday meets, the No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's indoor track and field team took to the road on Saturday for the annual Keck Select Invite hosted by Illinois Wesleyan. PR's were broken as the Bears start to prepare for the indoor post-season.
No team scores were kept at the meet.

- Junior Jasmine Wright finished third in an event that 76 competitors in the prelims in a time of 7.69
- Classmate Kylie Spytek also broke through the field and finished eighth in a time of 7.95
- 400m
- Sophomore Caroline Echols was the top Bear in the event with a time of 59.35, finishing third
- Classmate Gayle Henderson was not far behind in fifth place with a time of 1:00.20
- 800m
- Sophomore Cate Christopher took home fifth place with a time of 2:17.30
- Senior Virginia Pridgen was just .03 behind Christopher in sixth place (2:17.33)
- Also finishing in the top 10 was senior Izzy Gorton in eighth place with a time of 2:17.62
- 1 Mile
- First-year Mackenzie Raue was the first Bear to finish in a time of 5:06.33, in fourth place
- Senior Sophie Bekins was the next Bear to finish in sixth place with a time of 5:08.86
- Sophomore Isabel Erdmann was eighth with a time of 5:16.12
- 3000m
- It was a one-two finish for WashU as Junior Jillian Heth and senior Abby Patterson were the first to runners to cross the finish line, respectively
- Heth finished in a time of 9:58.44 while A. Patterson finished in a time of 10:06.83
- 60m Hurdle
- Senior Lauren Gay broke through the field to finish third in a time of 9.01
- 4x400
- The team of sophomore Juilia Coric, senior Nicole Stewart, Spytek, and Gorton won the event in a time of 3:54.95
- Not long after was the second place team of Henderson, Christopher, first-year Alison Conner and Echols with a time of 3:56.72
- High Jump
- The Bears had two of the top four finishers with sophomore Olivia Theisen finishing in a tie for second with a height of 1.60m
- Finishing an attempt later was graduate Ebun Opata with the same height of 1.60m in fourth place.
- Pole Vault
- It was not truly close for the third meet in a row for senior Yasmin Ruff, who took home the win with a height of 4.01m
- Senior Makenzie Stock also finished in the top five with a height of 3.41m
- Long Jump
- A pair of Bears finish in the top 10 with Theisen finishing fifth with a leap of 5.22m
- Sophomore Sofia Rosenzweig was 10th with a distance of 4.91m
- Shot Put
- Out throwing second place by over half a meter, junior Jenae Bothe won the shot put with a throw of 13.33m
- Senior Catryn Cattoor also finished in the top 10 with a throw of 11.59m
WashU will be back in action next Saturday they travel to the Midwest Elite Invitational hosted by Wisconsin-Whitewater on Feb. 15.
