JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The No. 3 Washington University in St. Louis women's indoor track and field team hit the road one final time before the 2025 UAA Indoor Championships when they visited Illinois College for the IC Hilltop Classic on Friday evening.
This was an opportunity to secure a spot for the Bears at the conference championship.
There were no team scores kept.

- Pole Vault
- Senior Yasmin Ruff once again won the event, this time with a height of 4.02m.
- It was nearly two feet more than second place.
- Senior Makenzie Stock was the Bear with the second height clear of 3.36m
- 1 Mile
- It was a 1-2-3 finish for WashU with junior Irene Williams winning the event in a time of 5:19.75.
- Senior Morgan Fowler crossed second in a time of 5:21.14 while sophomore Kira Larner was third in a time of 5:21.83.
- 400m
- It was all Bears at the top with a runner from WashU finishing first through sixth in the event.
- Sophomore Cate Christopher finishing first in a time of 57.99
- Finishing in their respective order from second to sixth was first-year Quinn Bird (58.35), sophomore Julia Coric (58.47), junior Izzy Gorton (58.71), sophomore Caroline Echols (59.62), and first-year Kalena Riemer (1:00.08)
- 60m Hurdles
- Senior Lauren Gay took home the win with a time of 9.00.

- 800m
- This event was one better for the Bears as WashU had the top seven finishers in a field of 37.
- Gorton took home first place with a time of 2:16.34 with junior Cate Stevens finishing second (2:19.36) and senior Sophie Bekins finishing third (2:19.53).
- In fourth through seventh, respectively, was senior Ruby Kaplan (2:19.78), junior Elizabeth Wagner (2:20.03), first-year Mackenzie Raue (2:20.32), and sophomore Isabel Erdmann (2:22.35).
- 200m
- The Bears went back-to-back in eighth and ninth place as first-year Alison Conner finished with a time of 26.85 and junior Cecille Figueroa finished with a time of 27.04.
- 3000m
- Once again it was first through sixth for the Bears as three first-years took first, second and third place.
- Sally Carrington (10:30.47), Sofia Sheldon (10:34.76), and Grace Tood (10:35.08) all finished in the top three, respectively.
- Sophomore Avery Nason (10:35.88), first-year Maddy Lee (10:45.68), and sophomore Vivienne Larson (10:52.47) rounded out the top six.
- 4x400m Relay
- The Bears sent out six relay teams and finished first through sixth.
- The WashU B team finished first with a time of 3:53.35 while the WashU A team finished second with at time of 3:54.01.
- Third through sixth place went in alphabetical letter order for WashU.
- C (4:05.89), D (4:08.60), E (4:17.64), and F (4:19.76).
WashU will attempt to defend its UAA Championship next weekend at the 2025 UAA Indoor Championships on Saturday, Mar. 1 and Sunday, Mar. 2 at the Henry Crown Field House at the University of Chicago.
