Olivia Clemons. The Bears are now 14-0-1 on the year with a 4-0 mark in UAA play.
The Bears broke the scoreless deadlock at the 23:59 mark as sophomore
Kate Martin headed a pass to senior
Ella Koleno, who finished with a goal into the left side of the net for a 1-0 lead. It mark's Koleno's seventh goal of the season.
With just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half, junior
Sophie Viscovich sent a short pass to sophomore
Cami Colpitts, who made one dribble around her defender and drilled the ball into the far-right corner for a 2-0 lead. It marks her sixth goal of the year.
Just over one minute later, the Bears' struck again as Clemons scored her first goal of the game. Martin sent a long pass up the field to Clemons, who used her speed to beat her defender and fire it in past a diving goalkeeper for a 3-0 lead at the half.
In the 59
th minute, Koleno centered the ball to Colpitts who sent it towards the net where Clemons was there to finish the goal for a 4-0 Bears' lead.
Clemons once again showed her speed as she turned and maneuvered through several defenders to score her final goal of the game in the 77
th minute, putting WashU ahead 5-0. Clemon's now has a UAA-leading 13 goals on the year.
Rochester had one of its best chances in the 79
th minute as the Bears' were whistled for a handball in the box, resulting in a penalty kick, taken by Natalie Santangelo. Sophomore goalkeeper
Suzie Green saved the shot and the ensuing shot off the rebound to preserve the clean sheet.
WashU out-shot the Yellowjackets 16-7 with a 9-3 edge in shots on goal. The Bears also had four corner kicks to Rochester's three.
Offensively, Clemons led with three shots, all on goal while Colpitts registered two shots, both on goal.
In the net, sophomore goalkeepers
Kassidy Lanthier and Green combined for the shutout with Green making all three saves for the Bears in her 19:05 minutes played.
The Bears are back in action on Sunday with a big matchup against No. 1 Emory at 1:30 p.m. ET.
