ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis defeated No. 19 Carnegie Mellon 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in UAA action. The Bears are now 13-0-1 on the year with a 3-0 mark in conference play.

Ella Koleno sent a short cross to junior
Sophie Viscovich who fired it into the top right corner for a 1-0 lead. It marks Viscovich's fourth goal of the year.
In the 52
nd minute, sophomore
Olivia Clemons took the ball from the 30 and dribbled in, netting the ball in the left corner for her 10
th goal of the year, putting the Bears up 2-0.
The Bears made it a 3-0 game in the 72
nd minute as first-year
Heidi Fesler took a pass from Koleno, dribbled and found the opposite corner of the net for her fifth goal of the season.
The Bears out-shot the Tartans 14-3 with a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal. WashU also recorded seven corner kicks to CMU's two.
Clemons registered three shots on the day with two on goal and Viscovich had two shots, both on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Kassidy Lanthier earned her fourth clean sheet of the year and seventh win, making two saves on the day. Her first save was in the 39
th minute on a shot from Caroline Klauder and she made another in the 88
th minute on a Haley Peek shot.
The Bears hit the road next weekend for a double-bill, starting with a game at No. 21 Rochester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening, followed by a 1:30 p.m. ET game at No. 1 Emory on Sunday.
