COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team hit the road for the second weekend in a row to compete with some of the top athletes in the region at a Div. I opponent on Saturday at the Bob Teel Invite hosted by Missouri.

- Long Jump
- Senior Ebun Opata took home second place with a height of 5.62m
- Pole Vault
- Senior Yasmin Ruff beat out all competitors from all divisions to take home the pole vault win with a height of 3.95m
- 60m Hurdles
- In a stacked field, senior Lauren Gay finished eighth with a time of 9.16.
- 400m
- With 44 competitors taking to the starting line, sophomore Julia Coric was the top Bear finisher in 12th place with a time of 57.85.
- 60m
- When rounding to the 100th digit, there was a four-way tie for third place at 7.69.
- To break the tie, they extended out to the 1,000th place where junior Jasmine Wright would take fifth place with a time of 7.689.
- Triple Jump
- Opata followed up her runner up finish from earlier in the meet by taking home the win in the triple jump with a leap of 12.54m, out distancing second place from Memphis' 11.80
- 800m
- WashU had a pair of runners reach the top-10 in the event with senior Izzy Gorton finishing third with a time of 2:15.03.
- Sophomore Caroline Echols would be the second Bear to finish with a time of 2:16.33, finishing seventh.
- Shot Put
- Junior Jenae Bothe used her third throw of the event to secure a third place finish with a throw of 14.25.
- 200m
- In the largest field (57) in an event on the day, Gay finished 15th with a time of 25.34
- Wright was the next Bear to finish with a time of 25.35, finishing 17th.
- Senior Nicole Stewart also finished in the top 20 with a time of 25.46.
- Mile
- Junior Jillian Heth and senior Virginia Pridgen both finished in the top 10 in a field of 49.
- Heth finished fifth with a time of 4:57.72 while Pridgen was seventh with a tie of 4:58.15.

WashU will have less than a week before their next competition at the Friday Night Spikes #3 hosted by Rose-Hulman on Friday, Jan. 31. Events get underway at 6 p.m. in Terre Haute, Ind.
