TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team recorded its fifth-straight shutout on Saturday afternoon with a 5-0 win at Rose-Hulman. The Bears are now 8-0 on the season.
Senior defender
Emma Riley McGahan scored her first-career goal, and what would ultimately be the game-winner, in the 18
th minute, netting a pass from junior
Ella Koleno.
First-year
Olivia Clemons scored her team and conference-leading ninth goal of the year in the 54
th minute.
Sophomore
Madi Foley scored on a play from junior
Grace Ehlert and sophomore
Regan Cannon in the 62
nd minute to give the Bears a 3-0 lead.
A few minutes later, first-year
Cami Colpitts netted her first of two goals, scoring on a pass from graduate student
Ally Hackett in the 66
th minute.
Colpitts scored another goal in the 86
thminute, her third of the season.
The Bears out-shot Rose-Hulman 26-2 with 12 shots on goal and also had five corner kicks. Graduate goalkeeper
Sidney Conner made one save in nearly 67 minutes of action.
