ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated Illinois 4-0 on Tuesday evening to improve to 7-0 on the year.
WashU netted three goals in the first half, starting with goal from senior
Meryl McKenna off a cross from senior

Sophie Viscovich passed it to Clayton, who sent the ball in for Hackett to finish with a header.
With less than two minutes remaining in the first half, first-year
Cami Colpitts scored her first collegiate goal, dribbling around a defender before firing it in to make it a 3-0 game.
The Bears added another goal early in the second half, at the 59:04 mark, as senior Sara Gianotti played a ball to junior
Ella Koleno for the fourth goal of the game.
As a team, the Bears out-shot Illinois Wesleyan 22-0, securing nine shots on goal. The Bears also had 14 corner kicks to IWU's zero.
Viscovich had a team-high three shots with one on goal while senior
Emma Riley McGahan and junior
Kerrigan Ferland each recorded two with one on goal.

Suzie Green each saw time in goal, combining for a clean sheet, the Bears' fourth in a row.
WashU hits the road this weekend for a two-game stretch, starting with Rose-Hulman at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday and Calvin at 3 p.m. ET on Monday afternoon. The Bears make the short trip to Webster next Wednesday for a 6 p.m. match before returning home on October 1 at 5 p.m. against Greenville, which will be the Mental Health Awareness/THO Game.
