GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team notched a 4-0 road win over DePauw on Friday evening. The Bears are now 5-0 on the season.
WashU took a quick 2-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game. Senior
Meryl McKenna scored the first goal of the game at 1:05 on an assist from
Gaelen Clayton, marking her second goal of the season.
Less than two minutes later,
Kaci Karl netted her first goal of the season to make it 2-0.
An own-goal by DePauw at the 16:00 mark gave the Bears a 3-0 lead at the half.
WashU added another goal as the icing on the cake in the 84
th minute as first-year
Olivia Clemons scored her team-leading and UAA-leading sixth goal of the season.
The Bears registered 22 total shots – 11 in each half – including 13 on goal, compared to DePauw's four total shots. WashU also recorded 10 corner kicks to the Tigers' one.

Ella Koleno, sophomore
Madi Foley and first-years Clemons and
Cami Colpitts each recorded three shots with two on goal.
Goalkeepers
Sidney Conner, a graduate student, and sophomore
Charlotte Shapiro combined for a clean sheet, each making one save.
The Bears remain in Greencastle, Ind. for a 3 p.m. ET game against Rhodes tomorrow, played at DePauw.
