MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field team traveled to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for day two of the three-day NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, Friday, May 24.
As a team, the Bears are tied for 19th with six points.
Junior
Loucas Xenakis racked up a point total of 6,645 to bring home 10th in the two-day decathlon.
Friday's Top Finishers:
800 Meters (Prelims):
- Senior William Houser just missed out on a lane in tomorrow's final
- Houser posted the eighth-fastest qualifying time of 1:52.15
- However, the top two from each heat automatically earned a lane in tomorrow's final and Houser finished fourth in the first heat
- Senior Will Dehmler clocked a time of 1:53.70 to secure 19th
Pole Vault (Decathlon):
- Loucas Xenakis welcomed a second-place finish in the pole vault as he cleared the 4.50m bar
Javelin Throw (Decathlon):
- Loucas Xenakis garnered a throw of 54.60m in the javelin to turn in a second-place finish
1,500 Meters (Decathlon):
- Loucas Xenakis placed fourth in the 1,500-meter race as he turned in a time of 4:40.06
110 Meter Hurdles (Decathlon):
- Loucas Xenakis registered a mark of 16.60 in the 110-meter hurdles to earn a 20th-place finish in the event
