Box Score 2 MADISON, Wis. – The No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team won the Madison Invitational on Saturday afternoon after beating No. 48 Gustavus Adolphus and No. 31 Denison. The Bears are now 12-2 on the season.

Karen Gao defeated Allison Szalay and Molly Austin 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Nina Moravek and
Ainsley Heidbreder topped Kaya De Bruijn and Bethany Smith 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Maggie Yang and
Emily Chiasson fell to Paula Yakimova and Alli Laux 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.
Archer defeated Szalay 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while
Eliana Hanna beat Molly Austin 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
Gao topped Laux 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Chiasson beat De Bruijn 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.
Katherine Johnston topped Yakimova 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and
Hallie Jeffers defeated Ella De Young 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

Amber Edmonds and Hanna beat Caroline Lopez and Kendall Schrader 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Archer and Gao beat Caroline Kittle and Peyton Oda 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Heidbreder and Moravek topped Dasha Chistyakova and Anna Leach 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.
Gao picked up the first singles point of the day, defeating Maia Nowicki 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Moravek notched the second point with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Chistyakova at No. 1 singles.
Archer defeated Kittle 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Hanna topped Lopez 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Edmonds topped Leach 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and
Carolyn Tsung won the final match of the day, beating Elizabeth Hoo 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
The Bears host Denison next Friday at 2 p.m. as part of a double-header with men's tennis. They will then host No. 2 Chicago on Saturday at 11 a.m. Prior to facing Chicago, the Bears will honor their seniors.
