ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field team opened its 2024 outdoor slate by hosting the WashU Triangular, Saturday, March 23. WashU won the meet with 202 points, including eight event victories.
The Bears competed alongside Greenville University, Illinois College, and Culver-Stockton College.
Saturday's Top Finishers:
100 Meters:
- Sophomore Samuel Pan finished seventh with a mark of 11.35
200 Meters:
400 Meters:
- Graduate student Jackson Cox won the 400-meter race as he clocked in a time of 50.96
- Binagi (51.57) took runner-up in the event
800 Meters:
1,500 Meters:
- WashU took the top five places in the 1,500-meter run
- Senior William Houser won with his mark of 3:56.94
- Sidamon-Eristoff (3:57.72) recorded second, while junior Fernando Ribeiro Duraes (3:59.46) took third
- Sophomore Conor Daly (4:01.03) grabbed fourth, while sophomore James Corbett (4:01.30) notched fifth
3,000 Meters:
- Sophomore Alexander Bullard won the event with his time of 8:55.56
- Bullard won by nearly 25 seconds
- Sophomore Alec Means generated a runner-up finish with a mark of 9:21.03
3,000 Meter Steeplechase:
4 x 100 Relay:
- WashU's relay team of Pan, senior Alex Djetto, Binagi, and first year Alex Gardner recorded fourth with a time of 43.99
4 x 400 Relay:
- The relay team of Cox, Sidamon-Eristoff, Djetto, and Frohling won the event as the team spun a time of 3:23.01
High Jump:
- Sophomore Eli Goldman won the event as he cleared the 1.85m bar
- Sophomore Jalen Dural claimed second with his mark of 1.80m
Pole Vault:

- Dural turned in a second-place finish as he notched a jump of 12.89m
- Graduate student Matt Joachim (12.82m) garnered third
Discus Throw:
- Xenakis notched eighth in the event with his throw of 34.26m
Shot Put:
- Senior Tom Peters posted a heave of 11.98m to secure sixth

Pole Vault:
The Bears will host the WashU Distance Carnival and the WashU Invite next weekend. The WashU Distance Carnival is scheduled for Friday, March 30, while the WashU Invite is slated for Saturday, March 30.
