Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team opened its 2024 outdoor slate with a convincing dual victory over North Central College, 7-2, Saturday, March 2. With the win, WashU's record upped to 5-2 on the season.
WashU's doubles teams won two-of-the-three doubles matches to take the 2-1 lead heading into singles play.

Gaurav Singh dropped the close, 5-8, decision to Wyatt Crowell and Guillermo Gonzalez Fernandez.
In singles action, Kuo swept Sengphommachah, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
Scruggs, playing at the No. 3 singles position, took down Justin Penados in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.
Singh defeated Crowell at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-1.
At No. 5 singles, Garcia Muriel spun a straight set victory over Rafael Lessa, 6-1, 6-1.
After dropping the first set, junior
John Fakouri stormed back to defeat Gonzalez Fernandez, 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-3) at No. 6 singles.
At No. 1 singles, Phillips dropped a tight, 1-6, 6-7 (7-9) match to Vilarroig Martinez.
The Bears will see a quick turnaround as WashU will take on DePauw University, tomorrow, Sunday, March 3 in Greencastle, Ind. First serve from Blackstock Courts is scheduled for 9 a.m.
