Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 16 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team opened its spring slate with a 9-0 victory over Rhodes on Saturday afternoon.

In doubles action, No. 1 doubles
Eliana Hanna and
Amber Edmonds defeated Mary Gracie Rask and Cami Lowry 8-0. No. 2 doubles team
Eleanor Archer and
Nina Moravek topped Emma McHale and Zainab Baba and No. 3 doubles team
Randi Hendricks and
Hallie Jeffers beat Anna Rush and Sofia Rodriguez 8-3 to go up 3-0.
Moravek went on to defeat Rask 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Archer topped McHale 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Karen Gao downed Rodriguez 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and
Emily Chiasson beat Lowry 6-0, 6-1.
Katherine Johnston picked up a win over Baba at No. 5 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0 and
Carolyn Tsung defeated Rush 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow evening against Division I Illinois State. The match is slated for a 5 p.m. start at Forest Lake Tennis Club.
