CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 16 Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team fell at No. 7 Chicago, 196-103, on Saturday afternoon at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.
The Bears moved to 1-1 in duals this season.

- Junior Rin Iimi won the event with a time of 1:56.32.
- First-year Iris Qi was third with a time of 1:57.26

- Lee finished second in her second event of the day with a time of 1:06.59.
- First-year Becca Hackel made it 2-3 for the Bears with a time of 1:08.02
- 200 Fly
- First-year Annabel Hermacinski was second in this event with a time of 2:12.52.
- Watson was right behind her by just .03 second with a time of 2:12.55, finishing third.

- 1m Diving
- Sophomore Shanze Karimi was third in the first diving event of the day with a score of 247.95
- 100 Free
- Qi took third with a time of 53.45
- 200 Back
- Roche finished second with a time of 2:09.17.
- First-year Rachel Kravtsov touched the wall in third with a time of 2:09.98.
- 200 Breaststroke
- Hackel and sophomore Lili Sandor finished 2-3 for the Bears.
- They finished in times of 2:26.37 and 2:28.56, respectively.
- 500 Free
- Iimi took second place with a time of 5:14.82.
- 100 Fly
- Watson won her first event of the afternoon with a time of 58.46.
- 400 IM
- Iimi and Sandor finished second and third for WashU.
- Iimi finished in 4:38.20 and Sandor was done in 4:43.69.
- 200 Free Relay
The Bears return to Chicago in less than a week for the two-day, D3 Shootout hosted by the Maroons on Nov. 7 and 8.
