ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team blanked No. 17 NYU, 3-0, in the UAA home opener at Francis Olympic Field. With the win, the Bears are now 14-0-1 on the year and 3-0 in UAA play.
After nearly 54 minutes of scoreless play, first-year
Olivia Clemons scored on a breakaway, putting WashU up 1-0.
Clemons struck again just 75 seconds later as she yet again maneuvered around defenders and scored on a breakaway play. The two goals bump Clemon's number to 14, which leads the team and the conference.

Grace Ehlert scored on a cross from junior
Ella Koleno to make it a 3-0 game. Ehlert now has 10 goals on the season.
Clemons registered four shots with three on goal including two goals. Ehlert had two shots, both on goal, and a goal.

Sidney Conner made two saves on the day for her fourth shutout of the year.
The Bears are home again next weekend for a 3 p.m. game on Friday against No. 4 Carnegie Mellon which will be the Latine Heritage Month game. They will then host Case Western Reserve University at 11 a.m. on Sunday for Neighbors' Day/Youth Day.
