A WashU doubles team has never advanced to the final at the ITA Cup, formerly known as the Small College Nationals. The highest finish for the Bears was in 2016 when Rebecca Ho and Kaylan Griffith finished third. The last time WashU had a doubles team play in the ITA Cup was 2017.
The Bears' duo defeated Sewanee's Ansley Carpenter and Brooke Despriet 6-2, 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
WashU will face Emory's Dakota Fordham and Emily Kantrovitz tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. in the final.
