Box Score ST. CHARLES, Mo – The Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team wrapped up the SLU Invitational on Saturday afternoon, held at Lindenwood.
 
Singles Flight 1
Nina Moravek fell to SLU's Kseniia Aleshina 6-4, 6-7 (5), 10-7 in the consolation final, finishing second in the bracket.
 
Eleanor Archer beat Lindenwood's Elisa Dornelles 6-1, 7-5 to finish seventh.
 
Singles Flight 2
Amber Edmonds finished fourth after falling to SLU's Sandra Gines 7-6, 6-3 in the third-place match.
 
Katherine Johnston beat Missouri State's Lisa Muehlbauer 6-4, 6-3 to finish seventh.
 
Singles Flight 3
Carolyn Tsung won the consolation final after defeating Lindenwood's Jordan Lee 6-1, 6-0.
 
Hallie Jeffers finished eighth in the consolation bracket, falling to Lindenwood's Yana Gaskell 6-2, 6-2.
 
Singles Flight 4
Emily Chiasson finished second in the bracket, falling to SLU's Angelina Joao 6-3, 1-6, 10-6 in the final match.
 
Katie Finerman finished fourth after falling to SLU's Kate Sexton 6-0, 3-6, 14-12 in the third-place match.
 
Randi Hendricks finished seventh and Ainsley Heidbreder finished eighth as Hendricks won their seventh-place match 7-5, 4-6, 10-7.
 
Doubles Flight 1
Moravek and Archer finished fourth, falling in the third-place match to SLU's Gines and Norhan Hesham 6-2.
 
Karen Gao and Eliana Hanna finished second in the backdraw, falling to Missouri State's Sandra Lukacova and Nicole Ross 6-3 in the consolation final.
 
Doubles Flight 2
Johnston and Tsung won the bracket, defeating SLU's Emmerson White and Fiorella Duran 6-4 in the championship match.
 
Heidbreder and Edmonds finished third while Maggie Yang and Chiasson took forth as Heidbreder and Edmonds won the third-place match 6-2.
 
Hendricks and Finerman won the consolation final, defeating SLU's Lizzie Barlow and Joao 6-3.
 
The Bears are back in action next weekend when they host ITA Regionals Friday, Sept. 22 to Sunday, Sept. 24 at Tao Tennis Center and Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
