Box Score St. Louis, Mo. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team rolled past Principia 9-0 on Monday afternoon. Prior to the match, the Bears honored their four seniors –
Abhi Ramireddy,
James Shaheen,
Lucas Guy and
Phuc Huynh.
Huynh and Ramireddy topped Juan Segovia and William Johnson 8-4 at first doubles while Shaheen and Guy defeated Jesus Soto and Ernesto Botero 8-3 at second doubles.
Case Fagan and
Jeremy Ouyang topped Rafter Sprague and Kuda Sandi 8-3 at third doubles.
Huynh notched a win over Segovia at first singles, winning 6-0, 6-2. Ramireddy picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win over Soto at second singles and Shaheen defeated Sandi 6-1, 6-1.
Guy topped Sprague 6-2, 6-3 at fourth singles and
Henri Ohl beat Botero 6-2, 7-6(5) at fifth singles.
Akshay Saluja defeated Alvaro Martin Moliz 6-0, 6-1 at sixth singles.
The Bears travel to No. 9 Chicago on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match. and host Missouri Baptist at Dwight Davis at 2:30 p.m.
