Phuc Huynh and
Abhi Ramireddy defeated Oscar Roy and Ashton Ellis 8-3 at first doubles.
Pato Garcia Muriel and
Colin Scruggs topped Steven Tibbetts and Jared Burton 8-3 at third doubles to go up 2-1 following doubles play.
Gaurav Singh and
Scott Yamamoto fell to Bernardo Clemente and Parth Patel 8-6 at second doubles.
Huynh defeated Clemente 6-0, 6-3 at first singles while Ramireddy notched a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 win over Tibbetts at second singles. Singh beat Ellis 7-5, 6-2 at fourth singles.
Jared Phillips lost to Roy 2-6, 7-6(6), 11-9 at third singles while
Eric Kuo fell to Ryan Flanagan 6-2, 6-2 at fifth singles.
James Shaheen was defeated by Anton Borovik 7-6(5), 6-2 at sixth singles.
The Bears face No. 11 Trinity tomorrow in a 9 a.m. match.
