St. Louis, Mo. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team won the 2023 UAA title on Saturday afternoon after tying the University of Chicago, 0-0 to earn the UAA automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament. It is the program's 16
th UAA title and eight in the last nine seasons, last winning in 2021.
The Bears conclude the regular season 14-1-2 with a 4-1-2 record in UAA play. The team will find out its destination for the NCAA Tournament on Monday afternoon.
WashU controlled the offensive end for the much of the game, registering 12 shots with four on goal compared to Chicago's four with two on goal.
The Bears had one of their best chances in the final five minutes of the first half. Senior
Tyler Wilson put a ball on-frame in the 41
st minute following a shuffle in front the goal, but it was saved by goalkeeper Sophie Pilarski.

Sidney Conner made two saves on the day for her 14
th shutout of the season. She stopped her first shot of the day in the 19
th minute on a Kaitlyn Gomez shot and came up with another save in the 57
th minute, again on a shot from Gomez.
