St. Louis, Mo. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season to No. 10 Rochester on Sunday afternoon. The Bears are now 14-1-1 on the year with a 4-1-1 UAA record while Rochester remains undefeated at 11-0-5 and 2-0-4 in conference action.

Rochester got on the board quickly, scoring 3:57 in. Natalie Kocsis slipped a ball in past Conner to make it a 1-0 game for the Yellowjackets.
Rochester scored again in the 63
rd minute as Lauren Blanch took a pass from Sydney Holmes and found the back of the net.
WashU scored its lone goal of the game in the 72
nd minute. Following a penalty in the box, Greven put in a penalty kick – her third of the season – to cut Rochester's lead to 2-1.
Offensively, the Bears kicked it up a notch in the second half, outshooting the Yellowjackets 9-4. WashU ended with 13 total shots including seven on goal to Rochester's seven total and five on goal. Conner made three saves in the net.
The Bears close out the regular season on Saturday with an 11 a.m. match against Chicago on Francis Olympic Field.
