Pittsburgh, Pa. – The No. 2 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team battled No. 3 Carnegie Mellon to a 0-0 draw on Friday afternoon in a highly-anticipated UAA matchup. The Bears are now 12-0-1 on the season with a 3-0-1 mark in conference play and remain the lone team across all divisions and genders to not concede a goal yet this season.
Statistically, the Bears and Tartans were evenly matched. CMU recorded six total shots with three on goal while WashU had five total and two on goal. The Tartans garnered six corner kicks and the Bears had four.
Senior goalkeeper
Sidney Conner made three saves to earn her 11
th blank sheet of the season to lead Division III in shutouts.
Conner made her first save of the day in the 14
th minute on a shot from Emma Shirzbad. She then made two athletic saves in the second half, including a jumping save in the 59
th minute on a high shot from Breana Valentovish. Her final save on a Cecelia Dieterich shot in the 85
th minute kept the Tartans off the board.

Anna Viscovich had back-to-back shots in the 57
th minute for the Bears. The first one was high but the second one was on-frame, stopped by CMU goalkeeper Abby O'Connor. WashU's final shot on goal was a shot to the top left from
Kate Flynn in the 71
st minute, also stopped by O'Connor.
The Bears now make the short trip to Cleveland for an 11 a.m. ET matchup against No. 6 Case Western Reserve on Sunday.
