Marilee Karinshak scored twice as the Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated Webster 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
The goals mark Karinshak's first two collegiate goals and give the Bears a win after three ties in a row. WashU is now 4-1-5 on the season as it heads into UAA play this weekend.

On the defensive end, the Bears' junior goalkeeper
Sidney Conner was tested three times in the first half, making all three saves to in the ninth, 19
th and 37
th minute keep the Gorloks off the board.
Karinshak scored her second goal of the game to put the Bears up 2-0 just 44 seconds into the second half, off a pass from senior
Maggie Brett. Karinshak is now second on the team with two goals and four points while Brett leads the team with 11 points.
WashU had a chance to make it 3-0, putting shots on goal in the 48
th and 49
th minutes, but both were saved by Webster goalkeeper Taryn Banfield.
Conner was tested for the first time in the second half on a shot from Mackenzie Sundhausen, which she stopped.
WashU had four more shots on goal in the second half, all of which were saved by Banfield. Conner, however, also made three saves to blank the Gorloks and earn her seventh shutout of the year, which leads the UAA.
The Bears open conference play on Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. ET match at Emory.
