San Antonio, Texas – The No. 21 Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team fell to No. 13 Mary Washington, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears picked up a win at third doubles as Maggie Yang and Aasha Ardila defeated Emily Beckner and Hana Kimmey 8-4.

Karen Gao and Katherine Johnston fell to Lauren Quinn and Abby Moghtader, 8-4, at first doubles and Divya Sharma and Carolyn Tsung lost to Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino, 8-4, at second doubles.

Tsung picked up the lone singles with at sixth, defeating Beckner 6-1, 6-0.

Gao lost to Moghtader 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 at first singles while Sharma fell to Coleman 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 at second singles and Sophia Huynh fell to Quinn 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 at third singles.

Katherine Johnston lost to Hagino 6-3, 6-2 at fourth singles while Hannah Johnston fell to Kimmy 6-0, 7-5 at fifth singles.

The Bears are back in action tomorrow with a 10 a.m. match against Trinity.
