Rome, Ga. – Phuc Huynh and
Abhi Ramireddy of the Washington University in St. Louis men's tennis team concluded play on day two of the ITA Cup with a pair of wins at the Rome Tennis Center.
In doubles action, the duo of Huynh/Ramireddy fell in a close 6-4, 6-4 match to Johns Hopkins in the main draw quarterfinals, but bounced back nicely with a 6-3, 6-3 straight set victory over Pomona-Pitzer in their consolation match.
Huynh/Ramireddy conclude the Small College National Championships with a 2-1 record in doubles.
In singles, Ramireddy defeated Thomas Yu of Johns Hopkins in a three-set battle, winning 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 to cap off the weekend with a 2-1 record in singles.
Ramireddy and Hunyh earn ITA All-American honors as the Bears combine for a 4-2 record in singles and doubles at the ITA Cup.
