Sewanee, Tenn., May 1, 2021 — The Washington University men's tennis team picked up its 10th-straight win with a 9-0 road win over Sewanee Saturday.
The Bears improved to 10-1 overall while the Tigers fell to 5-9.
Graduate student Scott Altmeyer and sophomore Abhi Ramireddy picked up an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles while seniors Daniel Li and Benjamin van der Sman won 8-1 at No. 2 and senior Ethan Hillis and first year Gaurav Singh won 8-2 at No. 3.
Hillis remained unbeaten at singles for the year with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 while Altmeyer won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2, van der Sman won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3, Li won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4, Ramireddy won 6-3, 7-6 at No. 5 and Singh won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6.
The Bears close out the regular season with a 1 p.m. neutral site matchup against University Athletic Association rival Emory on Sunday, May 2.
