Box Score St. Charles, Mo., April 13, 2021 – The Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team picked up a 6-1 road win over Lindenwood Tuesday evening at the Lindenwood Tennis Courts for the Bears' sixth-consecutive win.
WashU (6-1) took two out of three to secure the doubles point while dropping just one singles match to the Lions (5-3).
Senior Ally Persky and first year Karen Gao won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles while senior Laurel Wanger and first year Katherine Johnston won 6-2 at No. 2 and senior Emma Sass and junior Divya Sharma suffered a 7-6 setback in the third flight.
Persky won 6-1, 7-6 at No. 1 singles, Sharma won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 2, Wanger won 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 at No. 3, sophomore Sophia Huynh won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4, and junior Hannah Johnston won 7-6, 6-2 at No. 5 while sophomore Leslie Ligier fell 6-2, 6-1 in the sixth flight.
WashU will be back at the Tao Tennis Center on Wednesday, April 21, for a 4:30 p.m. matchup against Webster.
