Steve Wilcutt

With 40 of years of coaching experience in the St. Louis community, Steve Wilcutt enters his sixth season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Washington University in St. Louis.

While on staff, WashU has accumulated a 123-39 overall record, won a pair of University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships, and made three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Wilcutt was named to the 2020 UAA Men's Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year after healping lead the Bears to the UAA title and an appearance in the Sweet 16.

Wilcutt joined the WashU staff after retiring from John Burroughs High School in St. Louis where he was the head boys basketball coach for the past 29 years. During his tenure as the head coach he recorded 456 wins. Wilcutt also served as the head girls golf coach and taught in the physical education department.

He will assist in local recruiting and player development, as well as practice and game coaching.
