Registration

Current Students, Faculty & Staff
All sports and activities have registration on our DSE site using your WashU email. Each participant must create their credentials and then can register for any available sports and events
A tutorial can be viewed on How To Register for Intramurals by downloading the video HERE.
  • If you are registering for a team sport or doubles activity one person will need to be designated the "Captain". The captain will sign-up the team in the desired league and complete the scheduling information. Each member of the team will also need to create a DSE account with their WashU email.
  • All communication between the RecSports office and team will go through the designated Captain.
  • For individual activities, the person registering will be the designated Captain.
If an individual needs help finding a team to join, the "Free Agent Program" can provide assistance in getting that person placed on a team that is looking for players. All Free Agents will still need to create a DSE account and register as a free agent for the divisions they are available to play.
  • After creating your credentials choose the sport you wish to join. You can show as a free agent in as many divisions within a league as you'd like. This tutorial shows how to register. As a free agent you can provide further information on your background in that sport or any other info you want a captain to know, if you wish to do so. Ultimately, following this process helps team captains as they seek out players to add to their roster, if they so choose.
  • The RecSports Office will create Free Agent teams when there are enough students registered at the start of the season. There are no guarantees about being placed on a team, but a student can join a team at any point during the season up until playoffs begin.
  • If you have issues with DSE you can contact the RecSports office at intramurals@wustl.edu and we will help get you added to the site.

Non-WashU Email Participants
If you have a Sumers Rec Center membership and do not have a WashU email or your WashU email is not accepted, please contact the RecSports office for assistance.

Forfeit Deposit
The forfeit deposit is meant to serve as a deterrent to teams forfeiting. Each team will need to submit a forfeit deposit on DSE when registering your team for an event. A team will not be approved until a forfeit deposit is made.

Team sports with a regular season will submit a $50 deposit, and individual/dual activities will submit a $15 deposit.

If a team does not forfeit during the regular and post season, the entire deposit will be refunded to the original credit/debit card used to pay the deposit. For team sports if a team forfeit once, they lose $25 of their deposit; if the team forfeits twice they lose their entire deposit and will be removed from the remaining season and will not be eligible for playoffs. A team can concede to avoid both of these consequences, that policy can be found here

If you cannot pay the deposit contact intramurals@wustl.edu and arrangements will be made to remove financial barriers to participating in intramural sports.
