Forfeit vs. Concede
A concede is when a team cannot make a scheduled game and contacts the RecSports Office by 2pm the day of a weekday game or by 8am the day of a weekend game.
The team will receive a loss for that scheduled contest, but will not have a penalty charged against their forfeit deposit.
Conceded games are offered to the league and if a team picks the game up the original team to concede will not have the loss on their record. The team that picks up the extra game will have it added to their regular schedule and it will count as an official game to count towards their overall record.
A forfeit is when a team does not have the minimum number of participants at game time.
If a team forfeits they will be charged a $25 fee against their deposit and receive a 2 for their sportsmanship rating. If a team forfeits twice they will lose their entire forfeit deposit and will be removed from the rest of the season – this includes being ineligible for any post season games.
